6 Stage Reverse Osmosis water filter system with booster pump
Reverse Osmosis (RO)
Reverse osmosis is a water purification process. Clean water is extracted from polluted water by forcing it through a semipermeable membrane. Impurities are removed and only pure water exits the filters. The semipermeable membrane removes all particles larger than 0,0001 micron.
Why choose a RO system?
Reverse osmosis removes 99% of all waterborne bacteria and viruses. It removes at least 95% of harmful chemicals and heavy metals. Finally, it prevents bacterial growth in the system by flushing out everything removed by the membrane.
The process
1st stage - A sediment pre-filter removes large particles from the water, such as mud, rust, dirt, or other floating particulates.
2nd stage - An activated Carbon pre-filter removes pesticides, lime, and chlorine.
3rd stage - A carbon block pre-filter reduces fine sediment, chlorine taste, and the concentration of heavy metals such as lead and copper.
4th stage - A Reverse Osmosis Membrane removes particles that are not visible to the human eye, such as bacteria, viruses, parasites, and metals. The continuous flushing of the membrane prevents bacterial build-up.
5th stage - An Inline GAC filter removes certain harmful chemicals from the water. GAC filters also remove unpleasant odours and tastes.
6th stage - Essential minerals removed at earlier stages are reintroduced into the water.
We all know we should be drinking 8 glasses of water per day for optimum health. This works out to about 2 litres per person, per day. So, for a family of four, that’s 240 litres each month.
If you are buying 5-litre water bottles from your local store, you’re probably spending about R20/bottle. This means fresh, clean water is costing you R960 each month – and that’s only for drinking water!
When you purchase a Reverse Osmosis system for R3995, you will have made up that amount in four months! And think of all the single-use plastics you are eliminating. You’re paying for a healthy family AND a happy planet!
